A little help keeping time.
Choose a tempo from 30 to 240 beats per minute, then tap Start metronome. The first beat of each bar has a higher tone. Change Beats per bar to practice different patterns. One beat per bar gives an even accented pulse.
Find a tempo by tapping
Tap the Tap tempo button along with your music. After two or more taps, the BPM is estimated from your recent taps. Tap several times for a steadier estimate. A pause of more than two seconds starts a new estimate.
Play in the foreground
Beats are scheduled against the browser audio clock. Keep this page visible: switching tabs or apps, opening help, or an audio interruption stops playback. Tap Start to continue. Changing the tempo or beats per bar while playing restarts the bar at the new setting.
Check the device volume if you cannot hear the beat. Bluetooth audio can make the sound arrive later than the visual indicator. The metronome creates tones on your device; it does not need microphone access. Tempo and meter settings can be saved in this browser.
