Find a color in your photo.
Choose a photo, then tap or drag over the image. The large swatch shows the selected color. Copy HEX for a code like #DB8D69, or RGB for the red, green, and blue values. The starting palette is a demonstration you can try without a photo.
Pick a precise point
The magnifier shows the pixels around your selection. Its outlined center square is the pixel being read; empty space outside the photo is not sampled. Use the four arrow buttons to move one working-image pixel at a time. With a keyboard, focus the image and use the arrow keys; hold Shift to move ten pixels.
Image colors, not a paint match
The reading comes from the browser’s sRGB canvas. Transparent pixels are placed over white. Large images are reduced to a maximum edge of 2,400 pixels, which can blend fine details. Lighting, camera processing, image profiles, and your display can affect how a color looks. This does not measure an object’s physical color or provide a calibrated paint match.
Photos stay in this browser
Choose a JPEG, PNG, or WebP up to 20 MB and 48 megapixels. Photos are not uploaded or saved by this tool. HEIC photos need conversion to JPEG first. Remove clears the photo and returns to the demo; leaving the page clears it too.
If your browser blocks copying, the code appears in a selectable text box so you can copy it yourself.
