Colours: start the test, then move through white, black, red, green, blue, and gray at your own pace. Use Previous / Next or the arrow keys. Look for tiny spots, discolouration, or uneven areas. Use the visible Exit test button or Escape to leave.
Touch: drag over the grid. Squares fill where your browser receives your path. Try two or more fingers together to see the current and highest number of simultaneous contacts. A mouse or pen can also mark the grid. Clear resets the grid and peak.
Can this find or repair dead pixels?
The solid backgrounds help you inspect the screen yourself. This tool cannot automatically detect dead or stuck pixels, diagnose a display, or repair it. Clean the screen and compare different colours before deciding whether a mark belongs to the display.
What does the touch grid prove?
It shows pointer events received by this browser, including the paths between consecutive readings. It does not measure hardware sampling rate or establish that the touchscreen is fault-free. Browser gestures, operating-system restrictions, and your device can affect how many contacts arrive. The toolbar and browser interface are outside the test grid.
How do I test the whole screen?
The test fills the available browser viewport and keeps its controls visible. If your browser offers our Full screen button, use it before starting to hide more browser chrome. Mobile browsers may retain system controls. Rotate the device and repeat to inspect areas previously behind the test toolbar. Resizing or rotating clears the touch grid because its screen areas have changed.
Why might the colours look different?
Brightness, night mode, colour filters, HDR, and the display itself change what you see. The backgrounds use ordinary browser RGB colours; this is not a calibrated colour-accuracy test. No colours change automatically.
Are my touches saved?
The grid and contacts stay in this page’s memory and are not uploaded by the tool. Leaving, switching modes, or starting a new test clears them. Switching apps ends the active test. Site analytics are described on our privacy page.
